Alpha is an intentional place where we can have honest and open conversations about life’s biggest questions. Whether you’ve been a Christian for a long time, you’re new to faith, or exploring Christianity, Alpha is a safe place where you can ask questions and get answers. Each week we will share a meal together as we discuss our topic for the night. Everyone is welcome and no questions are off-limits. Our group will meet weekly at our campus on Wednesdays September 11 thru October 30, 6-8pm. Doors open, check-in and food for this group will be available beginning at 6pm.

You may hear us say the phrase “Our Heart is Global” often throughout your time at River Valley, but what does it really mean? In Explore, we walk through the great commission that Jesus gave to his followers before He left this earth. Our mandate is to make disciples from every part of the world. Each and every one of us has a part to play in that, whether it is to pray, to mobilize others, to send or to go! This group is for everyone to discover how God wants to use them to accomplish His great commission. Our group will meet weekly for 8 weeks at our campus on Wednesdays September 11 thru October 30, 6:30-8pm.

M.o.M is a small group designed for mothers to come and do life together. We will meet in our homes year round, every other week, taking time off for summer break and winter holidays & each season will bring a new topic or study to work through. Kids are welcome to play while the mom's meet. Our hope is that this is a place to spend time with new and old friends - focusing on authenticity, deep connection, and spiritual growth. During the spring season, we will work through the study "Find Your People" by Jennie Allen, a 7 week series featured on RightNow Media. There is a study guide available on Amazon that is encouraged, but not required. This study is focused on building community - God designed His people to do life together, but we live in a dissociated world that caters to loneliness. Our hope is that this study will break down any walls & provide a community-driven atmosphere for M.o.M moving forward. We can't wait to see you! There is nothing more exciting than living a Spirit-filled, empowered life! This group will instruct, encourage, and inspire you to walk in all that Jesus has made available to you through the infilling of the Holy Spirit and the gifts that He imparts. You will also learn in detail about each of the nine gifts of the Spirit and how they are used throughout the Bible as well as in our own lives. Finally, you will have the opportunity to deepen your relationship with the Lord through the lessons on prayer and intercession.

Authentic Manhood | Matt Yost

This group is for men pursuing God and asking Him to equip them with all they need to walk with Him in truth, passion, purpose, purity and discipleship. The group utilizes the Authentic Manhood curriculum ("33" series -for the 33 years that Jesus walked the earth). The curriculum and group resources offer clear and practical Biblical insights on God’s design for manhood that are both refreshing and inspiring. The group will point men to a gospel-centered vision of life that sets them up to enjoy God’s grace as they pursue the promises of His Word. Group Timeline: Stage 1: 12 weeks - Authentic Manhood for Grown Men (A Man’s Design, His Story, and His Traps) (meets for 12 consecutive weeks). Stage 2: 6 additional weeks: Man and his Work 6 additional weeks: Man and his Marriage, and Fatherhood Men can join at anytime, but in order to earn a camo wristband with “Iron Sharpens Iron” (Free, Pure Disciples on the inside) a man must complete his full commitment to Stages 1 & 2.
