The Promise Principle | Hailey Warner

Faribault

Wednesday at 12:00 PM

You are welcome here! This is a "join at anytime" women's group. If you are looking for a deeper connection with God, this group is for you. God desires that we overcome being ruled by our thoughts and feelings, which are highly influenced by our circumstances — family, work, health, or temptation. 2 Peter 1:3–4 tells us that we can actually do this! It comes from learning to respond to God's promises in His Word and through prayer. This is the purpose of The Promise Principle Small Groups Whether you’re still exploring faith in Christ, or you have been a Christian for many years, you’ll experience what we believe Jesus meant when He called His disciples to change the world by discovering and responding to His promises, truths, and commands. Text the word "promise" to 94000 or use the link below to read more about The Promise Principle and see our weekly reading plan (this link will bring you to the men's Promise Principle site - even though this is a women's group we will follow the men's Promise Principle reading plan): This Faribault area ladies group will be meeting over lunch hour in the Legacy House loft, downtown Faribault, above Good Day Coffee! {318 Central Avenue #208} Hope to see you every week, but if you are unable to attend you can still study at home & share your takeaways on this group page! Looking forward to our time together with one another and the Lord. Feel free to bring your own lunch! Also, group is co-lead by Hailey Warner & Taina Dubbels, reach out if you have any questions! Trusted Men

Crosstown

Wednesday at 6:30 PM

Trust is the one thing that changes everything, says Stephen M. R. Covey. Whether you are trying to recover from trust-breaking behaviors in the past or want to invest in your most important relationships for the future, this 7-week small group will help you implement five key practices you need to enjoy the benefits of being a trusted man. Some tough truths about trust: — Too many men who are trustworthy are not trusted. It is dangerous to assume you are trusted by others just because you feel you are trustworthy. — You do not know how trusted you really are until the relationship encounters risk or a crisis. — Relational interactions are never neutral. Unless you know how to build trust intentionally, trust is probably eroding—because you're like every human that makes mistakes. The good news is that in the same way relationships improve when you can speak another person's love language, trust grows when you can take your eyes off yourself and discover how to act in a way that resonates with what the other person values. This small group is open to all men, but will especially benefit men who are single (unmarried or divorced), engaged, newly married, or have children. The content is accessible to anyone on his faith journey and also to the unchurched (if you want to invite someone not attending River Valley). This 90-minute small group will have a significant amount of interaction to maximize personal growth: — 30 minutes with a few others to share wins and challenges from the previous week — 30 minutes to learn new Trusted Men content through live instruction and then ask questions — 30 minutes of guided conversation in small groups to discuss how each person can implement that week's content in two important relationships Take a 7-week journey with others seeking to be Trusted Men so that you can be building trust intentionally, and not just think you have it or deserve it.
