“Jesus and Women”

Join us as we read the book "Jesus and Women" by biblical culturalist Kristi McLelland on those dusty roads as she transports you back to Jesus’ world, following in the footsteps of the women who came face-to-face with the Living God. Over 7 sessions, examine the historical and cultural climate of first-century Middle Eastern society to not only understand Jesus more deeply but to fuel your worship of Him today. Explore how Jesus generously restores dignity and honor to women in the first century and now. Books available on Amazon. Videos available with code at the back of the book. We will be starting with reviewing questions from the previous week, watching the video, short discussion and ending with prayer. Gain deeper insight into the biblical world, including a fresh perspective on familiar Bible stories. Discover the Bible through the lens of Middle Eastern culture.

We are welcoming all mom's and dad's with kids to join us for a short devotional lesson, play/game/interact time for the kids and social time for the parents. We will be integrating various field trips so we can learn and explore our town and the surrounding area together. We will meet the 2nd and 4th Friday of the month. This group is co-lead by Sommer Cunningham, Taina Dubbels and Brooke Stang. Please feel free to contact us with any questions. Our first meeting will be February 10th.

In Explore, we walk through the great commission that Jesus gave to his followers before He left this earth. Our mandate is to make disciples from every part of the world. Each and every one of us has a part to play in that, whether it is to pray, to mobilize others, to send or to go! This group is for everyone to discover how God wants to use them to accomplish His great commission.

Our group is for anyone but is family focused and content will usually revolve around marriage, parenting, and family. We will have some content but the main focus of our group is to create time and space in our busy lives with kids to connect with other couples and families! We also want to make time to pray for one another each week, and encourage each other in this wild journey of life with Jesus! We will meet every 1st and 3rd Sundays, and have some "pop up" hang out days as well. October we will meet the 6th and 27th. We plan to have a babysitter at our house and split the cost of child care together so we can have care for the kiddos during group time. The first couple of meets will be just hanging out and getting to know each other for the whole family! Start date is August 18th 3:30 to 5pm at our house in Savage.
