We live in a context where people have access to the gospel, but how many have met a faithful Christian witness who conversed with them in grace & truth? How many have been told Jesus loves them - not just the world in general, but them specifically? How many are just waiting to be seen, to be approached, to be sought after? The fields are ready for harvest even here in Eagan. Let's go out in the love & power of Christ and join Him in His worldwide mission to seek and save the lost.
This group will gather at the Eagan Campus for a time of worship and prayer as the Spirit leads. From there, we'll head out as a group to various parts of Eagan and the surrounding communities each week, and in 2s/3s, we'll minister to those we encounter, asking if we can pray for people, starting conversations, following Holy Spirit's prompts, and just seeing where the Lord leads it.
We will meet most Saturday mornings throughout the summer. Come to as many or few as you're able! We may also go out to various events in Eagan on other days throughout the summer. Register for the group to receive a weekly update via email on when we're going out!
Note, this group is for ALL! We are all called to be witnesses to Jesus Christ (Acts 1:8). He gives His Spirit freely to all who ask (Acts 2:39; Luke 11:9-13) - the same Spirit who empowered the believers we read about in Acts! Our competence comes from God (2 Corinthians 3:5). You don't have to have any special skills, feel like you're already "good" at this, have a specific type of personality, or have been a Christian for a certain amount of time. Take the pressure off of yourself; we go out in God's strength, "not by might, nor by power, but by His Holy Spirit." We're all learning and growing together!
