Who is this group for? Anyone who wants to understand how to utilize the talents, skills, personality, and circle of influence God gave them for His kingdom. Whether you work in the business world as a senior leader, a retail associate, are just starting out as an intern, or are a student planning to work in an entrepreneurial way or another business capacity some day, this study will use a storytelling style with discussion to help us each consider new ways God wants us to live more purposely. We can learn about ourselves by understanding what God is speaking to others in community ................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................ What is this group about? This small group seeks to answer the questions you have about how you can live on mission for God in your workplace. We'll explore questions like: - What biases/ divisions do we hold between clergy and laity, our roles as kings and priests, and our call to ministry as believers? - How are we called to operate primarily outside the meeting place? - Is money good or evil? What does scripture say about making money, riches, and prosperity? - What are our own misconceptions of giving? - Vocations and values: how can we find fulfillment in our jobs today? What values were passed down to us from generations? - What does it mean to live simply? How are we called to frugality and how can we practice this? - How can we live more boldly on mission for God through our vocations? ................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................ The book "The Legend of the Monk and the Merchant" is an easy, approachable way to start the conversation and create ideas for including God in your every day. Though not everyone may be called to work in the church, the "marketplace" can also be seen as a mission field, with the opportunity to serve God and others around you. This course will help you see, understand, and apply your purpose to your daily life. This book is promoted by Dave Ramsey. Versions of the book are available at Amazon, Ramsey, Christianbook.com, etc. in either print or electronic style. Pick yours up for the study group here: https://www.ramseysolutions.com/store/books/the-legend-of-the-monk-and-the-merchant-by-terry-felber ................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................ Where will we meet? We'll meet for 1 hour in the gathering room at Blackwater Cafe (serving breakfast and coffees), which is just off Hwy 12 in Maple Plain. Kids are welcome if they can sit quietly for an hour, engaging in their own activity. Speaking as a busy mom :)

Are we saved through faith alone? How do we need to live once we become believers? Does the Law of Moses still apply to us? These are questions that the early church wrestled with--and sometimes they got it wrong. In his letter to the Galatians, Paul needed to confront a church that had been led astray from the true gospel. In this study, we will view our relationship as believers to grace and law (the "shoulds" and "should nots" of our spiritual life). We hope you join us the 1st and 3rd Mondays each month to explore our freedom in Christ!
The Good Neighbor program exists to empower the church to walk alongside refugees and immigrants with the love of Christ. Good Neighbors befriend refugees and asylum seekers by providing practical support and life skills to those who have been forced to flee their homelands. Our team will walk alongside a family for one year. Some of our responsibilities will be: * Welcome newly-arriving refugee family through Arrive Ministries’ Reception and Placement program. * Be one of the first faces to greet this family upon their arrival at the airport. * In partnership with the family’s case manager wewill have the opportunity to assist with appointments and help the family learn local systems, all while extending friendship to our newest neighbors. *Come alongside a refugee or immigrant family already living in Minnesota. * Provide support to families seeking asylum.

This is a small group focused on reading through the book by Dan Kimball titled “ How Not to Read the Bible” each month at 5pm on the first Saturday of the month starting on December 3, 2022. The intent is to discuss 1 part of the book per session. If there's a lot of good conversation around a single part, we'll extend the subject over multiple sessions. Discussion sessions will be virtual and an email chat will get rolling once the group begins.
A spirit-led prayer class. Learn to hear and obey God's voice, experience His presence, intercede for what is on His heart, decree His work, and yield to the Holy Spirit as we partner with Him in prayer. Intercessory Prayer will happen on campus (14898 Energy Way, Apple Valley) at 630pm in the Family Auditorium beginning Wednesday, January 25th. Childcare is not provided

Following God isn't about striving; it's about trusting! As we study the chapters Isaiah wrote, we’ll see his challenging words to the nation of Israel and his prophecies of the Messiah to come. We will grow and learn to rest in God's promises as we trust God more and more. Join us for this 7-session video Bible study taught by Melissa Spoelstra…Isaiah's words will reveal that we can trust God more than our own human effort or the counterfeits the world suggests. We will begin to strive less and instead trust more deeply in the Faithful One who is so worthy of our utter dependence.
This group is for those who wish to bless others by making a meal. When a family is facing a challenging situation (whether a new baby, health diagnosis, emergency, etc.) and could use some support, my desire is to help provide some meals. When a need arises, I will create a meal train schedule & send it out to all members. You do not need to participate for every need - you can choose what works for you! My goal is to grow the group to easily provide for any need without relying too heavily on any member. This is not a typical small group & will not be meeting together.

The Promise Principle is a powerful tool to teach men how to hear the voice of God through reading the Bible. It calls men to a daily God connection in which He speaks clearly through His Word and promises transformation, power, and direction in our everyday lives, (Romans 12:2, 2 Peter 1:3-4). Men engaged in The Promise Principle experience what we call the “new accountability”. The old style of accountability focuses on sin management, while this new accountability propels men forward, igniting a passion to seek, hear, and obey the voice of God. This is where freedom in Christ becomes evident in our lives. God can then truly use us to inspire those around us to follow Him.
Monday at 6:30 PM
This group is for men pursuing God and asking Him to equip them with all they need to walk with Him in true freedom, purity, and discipleship. We recommend that you also sign up for a men's Promise Principal group (these groups are centered around discussing a Bible reading plan together) in addition to this group. Currently every Monday we are holding purity introduction studies for new men to the purity ministry (men can drop in at any time to gain perspective of what the purity ministry is and to connect with a leader to begin discipleship now.) Then as men are committed and ready, they will then move through two distinct phases: Purity (9 weeks), and Discipleship (9 Weeks). A higher level of focus and commitment will be required, but the spiritual and relational rewards of fully engaging in this journey together will be worth it!
