There is nothing more exciting than living a Spirit-filled, empowered life! This eight-week Bible study will instruct, encourage and inspire you to walk in all that Jesus has made available to you through the infilling of the Holy Spirit and the gifts that He imparts. These gifts are vital and need to be used in order to be effective witnesses for Him. In this study you will learn about the unseen world, which is called the Spirit realm. Even though we don't see it with our physical eyes, we interact with it on a daily basis. You will also learn in detail about each of the nine gifts of the Spirit how they are used throughout the Old and New Testament by ordinary people. Finally, you will have the opportunity to deepen your relationship with the Lord through the lessons on prayer and intercession. Empower will meet every Monday beginning January 23rd through March 20th, 6:30 to 8:00. We will be meeting in the Lounge. Please note*** It is strongly recommended that you attend the Alpha and Freedom courses before attending Empower.

Alpha is a Core Group that unpacks what River Valley believes. It answers questions like: Who is Jesus?, How do I read the Bible?, and Does God heal today? Each week we will begin our time together with a meal, followed teaching and discussion. Our group will meet weekly at our campus on Mondays January 23 thru March 20, 6:30pm-8pm. Dinner will be available in the lobby starting at 6pm. Please take your dinner to the maid auditorium, which is where your group will meet. We will conclude our time together by serving together on Monday March 27 7pm in Coon Rapids (ages 5+ are welcome to attend)

Mending the Soul is a group for women who have experienced interpersonal abuse or neglect as children or adults. This group is survivor-led and uses the Mending the Soul Explore journal. The group incorporates Christian and counseling-based interventions including art, journaling, Scripture, prayer, music, poetry and relational support. This group will meet for six weeks in person beginning on February 6. Participants will be responsible for purchasing their Explore journal ($29.99 plus tax and shipping for a paper copy or $12.99 for a digital download). Led by Lisa Medin and Megan Colvin.
