Welcome Home is your first step at River Valley Church. You were created for a purpose, and we want to help you discover that purpose! You will build community, understand how God made you and dive deeper into your walk with Jesus. We can’t wait to meet you! This is a 4-week small group. Once Welcome Home is complete, we encourage you to find another small group where you can continue growing in your faith as you build friendships. We will meet on Sundays at 12:30pm at the campus (a light lunch will be provided).

Alpha is an intentional place where we can have honest and open conversations about life’s biggest questions. Whether you’ve been a Christian for a long time, you’re new to faith, or exploring Christianity, Alpha is a safe place where you can ask questions and get answers. Each week we will share a meal together as we discuss our topic for the night. Everyone is welcome and no questions are off limits. This group meets weekly on Thursdays at 6:30, September 12th to November 14th at the Lakeville Heritage Center.

As a group, we read through a whole book of the Bible (In the Message Translation) to understand the whole arc of the Biblical story, to understand the context for the book, and then the chapters we are reading, and then we discuss it. We all think we know the story of Genesis - but do we? Based on the BEMA Podcast, the small group will firstly understand the way the original hearers of the story - easterners - heard and interpreted what Moses was saying. Then we will discuss the podcast and based on teaching this several times have these Bible stories come to life and bring new enthusiasm and understanding of the start of the story.

This 13--week grief recovery seminar and support group is a video seminar series that features Christian experts on grief and recovery topics as seen from a Biblical perspective. This is an informal group meant to provide a resource for moms to find and connect with other moms! Motherhood can be so challenging and isolating and we may not feel seen or understood. This group is meant to connect moms for encouragement, support, play dates, whatever the situation may be! Participants will share their name, contact info, and city of residence so the information can be shared in a spreadsheet with all members. This can then be used to find and connect with moms near you! There will not be a formal weekly meeting, but members are encouraged to contact one another and set things up personally! Some play dates or mom outings may also be scheduled based on interest.
