Sisterhood is a group where women can find fulfillment and belonging at River Valley Church. This season we are going to explore different characteristics that make a healthy community! This group starts on Tuesday, January 24th and will end on Tuesday, March 28th. You can join this group no matter what age or stage of life you’re in. You also can come at any time! Alpha | CITY Winter 2023

Alpha is a Core Group that unpacks what River Valley believes. It answers questions like: Who is Jesus?, How do I read the Bible?, and Does God heal today? Each week we will begin our time together with a meal, followed teaching and discussion. Our group will meet weekly at our campus on Mondays January 23 thru March 20, 6:30pm-8pm. Dinner will be available in the lobby starting at 6pm. Please take your dinner to the maid auditorium, which is where your group will meet. We will conclude our time together by serving together on Monday March 27 7pm in Coon Rapids (ages 5+ are welcome to attend)

This group was initiated and will be lead by my 5 year old son (Misha). He shared with me a message he heard from Jesus and wanted to obey Jesus' command. "Mommy, Jesus says we need to pick up trash and save the animals. We need to tell people to do this." He has been very persistent for months that he needed to do what Jesus told him. When he learned that our church has groups, he asked to lead one to pick up trash. We have adopted Apple Ponds Park in Apple Valley and will be maintaining the park once a month. This may include picking up trash, planting flowers, and/or pulling weeds from a planter or around a sign. Misha encourages other kids to join him and to play with him after clean up. Volunteers of all ages are welcomed. We will meet once per month. The time of day may fluctuate depending on season.

There is nothing more exciting than living a Spirit-filled, empowered life! This Bible study will instruct, encourage and inspire you to walk in all that Jesus has made available to you through the infilling of the Holy Spirit and the gifts that He imparts. These gifts are vital and need to be used in order to be effective witnesses for Him. In this study you will learn about the unseen world, which is called the Spirit realm. Even though we don't see it with our physical eyes, we interact with it on a daily basis. You will also learn in detail about each of the nine gifts of the Spirit how they are used throughout the Old and New Testament by ordinary people. Finally, you will have the opportunity to deepen your relationship with the Lord through the lessons on prayer and intercession. Empower will meet every Monday beginning January 23rd through March 27th. We will be meeting at the Woodbury Campus.
