Singles Bible Study/Community (30 years and up)

MAPer Zoom Cohort 2022-2023

We are launching an 8-month cohort for people who are registered for the MAP and who sense they may be heading to the field in the next 3 to 5 years. The purpose of this cohort is three-fold: 1) To increase Biblical literacy for these people 2) To create community for the MAPers (for encouragement on the journey and to learn how to manage conflict in small teams) 3) To encourage the formation of discipleship relationships with internationals living here. The cohort will consist of two zoom calls a month: 1. The first Thursday morning of each month will be a training and update session from 6:30 to 8:15AM. During the call, we will provide: -- Training on a key topic each month -- Time to discuss the training in small groups -- An opportunity to share learnings from Biblical assignments -- Encouragement and accountability in developing cross cultural relationships with internationals in the US 2. The third Thursday morning of each month will have a 45 minute session with one of our 500 and then a 30 to 45 minute question and response time. -- This session may be 6:30 to 8:15 AM or 6:30 to 8:15 PM, depending on the location of our 500. Schedules will be issued about one month in advance.

Are we saved through faith alone? How do we need to live once we become believers? Does the Law of Moses still apply to us? These are questions that the early church wrestled with--and sometimes they got it wrong. In his letter to the Galatians, Paul needed to confront a church that had been led astray from the true gospel. In this study, we will view our relationship as believers to grace and law (the "shoulds" and "should nots" of our spiritual life). We hope you join us the 1st and 3rd Mondays each month to explore our freedom in Christ!

60+ in Bloomington Fellowship

This is a group that meets once every two weeks and is for those 60 years and above. We will get together to fellowship, have some spiritual discussion and pray for each other.

We are an outreach group of men who provide support for single young fathers who are experiencing an unexpected pregnancy. Direct support is offered under the covering of our church through a 12 week curriculum and small group. We want to help these young men know that the manliest thing they can do is fight to be the father they always wanted or always hoped to be. And let them know they don’t have to fight alone! WAYS YOU CAN PARTICIPATE IN THIS GROUP: Volunteer weekly or occasionally to provide support or mentor mentor single young fathers, pray or help plan events. Donate food items or purchase, cook & serve weekly meals or donate items for end of semester gifts for the dads! Volunteers may have opportunity to be involved throughout the year. The group meets on Thursdays at 5:30 PM but volunteer opportunities can be anytime during the week, whenever you are available
