What if Christian men were living fully alive and intentionally embracing their roles as husbands and fathers? What if Christian men fostered an environment of love and safety for their families? What if we didn’t have to pass our wounds onto our children? It's not easy juggling being a husband, a dad, a leader at work and a devoted man of God. This is a 10 week group for fathers to find friends, be vulnerable about challenges, pray for one another and cheer each other along this adventure. Let's be amazing dads! This is a safe place to process and pray through child loss and infertility struggles 1 Samuel 1:19-20 Samuel Is Born 19 The family got up early in the morning and worshiped before the Lord. Then they returned to their house in Ramah. Elkanah lay with his wife Hannah, and the Lord remembered her. 20 The Lord made it possible for her to have a child, and when the time came she gave birth to a son. She gave him the name Samuel, saying, “I have asked the Lord for him." Samuel's Hope: A group of prayer warriors believing that God will make it possible for them to have a child. We will be asking God to remember us, just as he did Hannah in 1 Samuel, and to bring us a child. This group was created to be a source of encouragement, prayer support, and safe place to share. It's for women who have a desire to have children, but are facing obstacles. It's a place where we as women will stand together and ask God to make it possible. We will ask God to remember us and give us sons and daughters to raise to honor Him. The plan - to commit every Monday to a time in prayer for each other

There is nothing more exciting than living a Spirit-filled empowered life! This eight-week Bible study will instruct, encourage, and inspire you to walk in all that Jesus has made available to you through the infilling of the Holy Spirit and the gifts that He imparts. These gifts are vital and need to be used in order to be effective witnesses for Him. In this study you will learn about the unseen world, which is called the Spirit realm. Even though we don’t see it with our physical eyes we interact with it on a daily basis. You will also learn in detail about each of the nine gifts of the Spirit how they are used throughout the Old and New Testament by ordinary people. Finally, you will have the opportunity to deepen your relationship with the Lord through the lessons on prayer and intercession. Are you ready to get started? We will meet weekly on Mondays at 6:30pm at Shakopee Campus. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided each week. Free childcare will be offered with limited capacities on a first come, first serve basis. Registration will be required for each child individually which will secure a spot in childcare for the whole Empower session. The childcare link will be posted soon!

Join us this semester as we look at what the Bible says it means to live in freedom as we study the book of Ephesians. Sisterhood is a group where women can find fulfillment and belonging at River Valley Church. This group will begin on Tuesday, September 26 and end on Tuesday, November 20. You can join this group no matter what age or stage of life you’re in and can come at any time! Let this be a safe place for you to grow in your relationship with God and build healthy relationships with other women. We can't wait to welcome you! Childcare is available on a limited basis.
