Alpha is a Core Group that unpacks what River Valley believes. It answers questions like: Who is Jesus?, How do I read the Bible?, and Does God heal today? The format is simple: We share a meal around a table, listen to a talk on the week’s topic, and then have discussion together to learn more. We meet from 6-8pm starting 9/11 (kick off night) ending 11/20. Childcare is available.

Peter and Jude were writing to people who were under pressure. The early church had fallen under the influence of false teachers, who led immoral lives and taught lies about God. Peter and Jude wrote to help the believers stand firm. In our own day we have witnessed believers who have stumbled and fallen into serious sin. All of us are under pressure. So how can we stay on track? Join us for this six week study of 2 Peter and Jude to learn how to better stand firm in your faith. We will meet for six Fridays: 6/9, 6/16, 7/14, 7/21, 8/4 and 8/11.

Have you been wanting to go deeper in God's Word? Then join us as we gather weekly with other men from Eagan campus to read & study the Bible together. We'll be moving through different books of the Bible, chapter by chapter. The heart of this study is to look at the context of the passage and make observations (What does it say?), Interpretations (What does it mean?), and Applications (How does God want me to apply this in my life?). Whether you're a new believer or have been walking with Jesus most your life, this group will be beneficial for you! You'll be encouraged to study the chapter beforehand and come with questions of your own to discuss. We're meeting virtually Thursday mornings 6:30-7:30am. You can even join the call from work before you clock in.

God’s Unbreakable Promises

How can you trust that God is good? With the Bible at our fingertips, we have a story of God’s faithfulness right in front of us to show us one example after another of who God is. In this six-session study, we want to walk you through some of the promises and covenants God made with his people to understand more of the story of God and the big picture of his unfailing love for us. Through this study, featuring teaching videos from Jennie Allen, Lauren Chandler, and Jada Edwards, you will discover: The story of God throughout the Bible, and what it means for you now. That God always keeps his word, even if we don’t. That God never fails, even when his people do. God always keeps his promises.

The Promise Principle is a powerful tool to teach men how to hear the voice of God through reading the Bible. It calls men to a daily God connection in which He speaks clearly through His Word and promises transformation, power, and direction in our everyday lives, (Romans 12:2, 2 Peter 1:3-4). Each week we will meet on Wednesday mornings at 7:00 AM, at Hope Breakfast Bar in West End. We will read through and discuss the Bible chapter for that week together from a reading plan developed by the national Promise Principle team.
