Alpha is an intentional place where we can have honest and open conversations about life’s biggest questions. Whether you’ve been a Christian for a long time, you’re new to faith, or exploring Christianity, Alpha is a safe place where you can ask questions and get answers. Each week we will share a meal together as we discuss our topic for the night. Everyone is welcome and no questions are off limits. This group meets weekly on Mondays from September 9th to November 18th. Childcare is available.

Genesis – through Jewish eyes

The Book of Genesis, the first book of Torah. Over six weeks we will journey through Genesis from the creation of the earth to the time of Noah. We will view the book through an Eastern readers lens - after all the book was long understood by people in a very different culture to us and that will reveal the 'lullaby' effect of how we know these early books of the Hebrew Bible. We will use the BEMA podcast as a resource and the group is designed to be a safe place to ask the questions who have always had; to see everything we speak about in scripture and hopefully excite you to read on beyond Noah and see how amazing our God and His word was then, is now and will be foreever. God is for healthy marriages. A strong marriage with God at the center creates a firm foundation for a family. This is a 10 week course covering 10 of the most common talking points in marriage. We welcome anyone who is seriously dating, engaged, newly married, or married for decades. We will spend 10 weeks (may not be consecutive) covering topics from kids to money to parenting, etc. There will be a video teaching on each topic and book that holds all the tools for discussion throughout the week. You don't have to be in a "rough" season to work on your marriage, Not only is the content enlightening but building community with others with the same goals in marriage is invaluable. NOTE: The Shepps have 4 kids under 10 and anticipate other families with younger kids. We will discuss possible group childcare options as the date gets closer.
