Host Team | Shakopee

Shakopee

The Host role is a position for people who are able to connect with new people at River Valley. Their job is to actively seek out those who are new to our church as well as those who seem disengaged. Hosts meet those who are new to the church and show them around the building, answer any questions they have and connect them to other members in the congregation. They also talk to those who seem “disengaged” whether they are sitting by themselves or in the auditorium during the in between time of services. Hosts really go above and beyond to help people feel welcomed and build relationships with others.

Details:

After joining the team your team leader will communicate specific details and instructions for the week and service time that you serve on.

Experience:

Host Serve Team Members have an outgoing personality, a general customer service mind set and the ability to think "What if this was my first visit?" A Host Serve Team Member should be able to answer any question about the church and be helpful in getting them connected into any ministry or program. They are also resourceful and able to find answers to questions they cannot answer. Training is provided.

Schedule:

As a volunteer we ask that you commit to a regular serving schedule of at least one service once a month. You can select your preferred serving frequency and service times from your MyRock.RiverValley.org dashboard under "Schedule Toolbox". You can also access schedule signups and add black-out dates from this toolbox.
