Paul and Mechthild Clark have been planting churches in Germany since 1984. They are presently planting a church in Bad Duerkheim, which is located about 60 miles southwest of Frankfurt. Paul is activity involved in mentoring church planters.
First Mission
Paul’s first missions experience was on a trip to Munich, Germany. He was a college student and went for two weeks.
Becoming a Missionary
The Clark’s were called to full time missions while working with Teen Challenge on a one year assignment near Frankfurt. The call became more developed when Paul and Mechthild planted an Assemblies of God church in Freeland, Michigan.

We live in a small town surrounded by over 300.000 residents, yet there is not a Pentecostal church within a 50 kilometer radius. We desire to see this changed.

This year the River Plate Bible Institute is turning 75 years. It is considered the largest AG school in Latin America. We have over 300 residential students, 400 in the Saturday program, 150 online, and hundreds in our ministerial schools. As the students come from over 15 different nations, each of them goes back into their communities and has an exponential impact. Additionally, many of them have a call to missions on their lives. Most of the missionaries from Argentina to other countries are graduates of our Bible School. As far as the country, Argentina has 45.81 million people. It is a predominantly Catholic nation, but because of syncretism, their belief system is very superstitious. They would have no problem going to mass in the morning and the witch doctor in the afternoon.

Our target nations are: Chad, South Sudan/Sudan, Cameroon, Senegal, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Madagascar, Botswana, South Africa, Angola, Gabon, DRC, Tanzania, Malawi.
