While the Dominican Republic is not in a crisis situation like Haiti there has been an influx of hundreds of thousands of Haitian refugees including many children. The majority of these Haitians live in extreme poverty and are unable to utilize/access the DR medical facilities, schools or assistance programs due to their immigration status. We have partnered with 14 Haitian churches/Schools to implement the Sport Disciple programming into their curriculum.
Their passion and heart is to reach the unreached peoples of their region, planting multiplying churches among them, and to show God’s love to the poor and needy in their city. Its their dream that as people in these communities encounter Jesus, their lives, their families and ultimately their community would be radically transformed. That dream is starting to become reality and they are excited to see it continue to unfold!
My primary title is church plant team member. I just do whatever we need done! But I also started a young adult ministry and managed social media and marketing. In my next term, I will also assist with leadership development.
85-95 percent of Thai people are Buddhist while maybe 5-10 percent are practicing Islam. Thai Christ followers make up only 1%. Missionaries in the area have started a prayer movement called Change The Map in hopes of gaining a more defined prayer audience that will make a significant impact on the number of converts in Southeast Asia.
Disability is something that will effect everyone at some stage of their life. Parents of children with any kind of difference often face differing levels of stigma and very often have difficulty in making use of places and facilities that regular families use based on the needs or behavioral expressions of their loved one. In the UK 11% of children are reported to have disabilities and although it is an economically developed nation, the emotional, psychological and financial implications of raising a child with a disability can be profound. Wales, in particular has some of the highest rates of child disability in the UK. Our heart is to love, empower and equip parents through providing and supporting short breaks for families in difficult circumstances.

While the people of Estonia have made advances in technology and are reaping the rewards of those efforts, they are spiritually dead. In fact, Estonians considered themselves one of the least religious countries in the world. Among those that do hold religious beliefs, many have shaped their beliefs from folk tales and cultural influences, such as the popular belief that trees have souls. Within this population these sorts of beliefs significantly outnumber those that know our Savior and the hope that is found in Him. The Estonian people are spiritually hungry but don’t have many Christ followers to guide them on how to satisfy that hunger. Many of the people still suffer from the trauma of the Soviet occupation and the oppression that came with it. It is that pain and hunger that our Lord longs to heal. And we are honored that he has placed the calling on our hearts to begin planting seeds of a new day of hope in Estonia.

Over 3000 Chinese international students come to our city each year to study at the University of Minnesota. These students are leaders and influencers and 80% of them will eventually return to China and take their international experience back to the places they live and work. It is estimated that 70% of international students across the U.S. never step foot inside of an American home even though they would love to have the chance. We feel that this is a huge missed opportunity. Our goal is to journey together with Chinese international students in the few years they are here to see lives transformed and subsequently, a nation influenced by the power of God.
