Try Softer
Shakopee
Monday at 6:30 PM
Many of us are stuck in trying harder. We keep going, keep hustling, keep pushing, searching for the success and happiness of an abundant life. Often, our trying results in us being overwhelmed, overworked, exhausted, and numb. What if there was a better way? What if instead of trying harder, we dared to try softer? In this group, we'll use the book Try Softer, by Aundi Kolber, to understand how God specifically designed our bodies and minds to work together to process our lives and overcome obstacles. Through Try Softer, we'll learn about knowing and setting boundaries, moving through emotions instead of getting stuck in them, and developing self-compassion. The group will meet weekly in Shakopee on Monday evenings from 6:30 - 8:00 pm for 10 weeks beginning April 17. The ability to commit to attending at least 8 of the 10 weeks helps build group unity and safety. Participants will need to purchase the book Try Softer: A Fresh Approach to Move Us out of Anxiety, Stress, and Survival Mode--and into a Life of Connection and Joy, available on Amazon for about $16. We will use this book, not the Guided Journey Companion workbook. Group leaders are Megan Colvin and Lisa Medin.
