Alpha | CITY Fall 2023

Alpha is a Core Group that unpacks what River Valley believes. It answers questions like: Who is Jesus?, How do I read the Bible?, and Does God heal today? Each week we will begin our time together with a meal, followed teaching and discussion. Our group will meet weekly at our campus on Tuesdays September 19 thru November 7, 6:30pm-8pm. Doors open, check in and food for this group will be available beginning at 6pm. We will conclude our group by serving together on our 9th week - Tuesday Nov. 14 at 7pm in Coon Rapids (ages 5+ are welcome to attend)

Alpha is a Core Group, taught by Pastor Zeus Vital, that unpacks what River Valley believes. It answers questions like: Who is Jesus?, How do I read the Bible?, and Does God heal today? The format is simple: We share a meal around a table, listen to a talk on the week’s topic, and then have discussion together to learn more. For this season, free dinner and free childcare will be offered with limited capacities on a first come, first serve basis. Registration will be required for each child individually which will secure a spot in childcare for the whole Alpha session. Childcare is available at a limited capacity. There is nothing more exciting than living a Spirit-filled empowered life! This eight-week Bible study will instruct, encourage, experience and inspire you to walk in all that Jesus has made available to you through the infilling of the Holy Spirit and the gifts that He imparts. These gifts are vital and need to be used in order to be effective witnesses for Him. In this study you will learn about the unseen world, which is called the Spirit realm. Even though we don't see it with our physical eyes, we interact with it on a daily basis. You will also learn in detail about each of the nine gifts of the Spirit how they are used throughout the Old and New Testament by ordinary people. Finally, you will have the opportunity to deepen your relationship with the Lord through the lessons on prayer and intercession. Are you ready to get started? River Valley recommendation is to take Alpha and Freedom classes previous to Empower class. We will be meeting Thursdays, Sept 14-Nov 16, with the exception of Sept 28 due to our Global Team Romania trip, and Oct 12 due to Marriage Night at Crosstown. Our group will meet weekly at our campus on Wednesdays September 20 thru November 7, 6:30pm-8pm. Doors open and check in will be available beginning at 6pm.
