There is nothing more exciting than living a Spirit-filled, empowered life! This eight-week Bible study will instruct, encourage and inspire you to walk in all that Jesus has made available to you through the infilling of the Holy Spirit and the gifts that He imparts. These gifts are vital and need to be used in order to be effective witnesses for Him. In this study you will learn about the unseen world, which is called the Spirit realm. Even though we don't see it with our physical eyes, we interact with it on a daily basis. You will also learn in detail about each of the nine gifts of the Spirit how they are used throughout the Old and New Testament by ordinary people. Finally, you will have the opportunity to deepen your relationship with the Lord through the lessons on prayer and intercession. Empower will meet every Monday beginning September 25th through November 20th, 6:30 to 8:00. We will be meeting in the Lounge. Please note*** It is strongly recommended that you attend the Alpha and Freedom courses before attending Empower.

About once a month, we will meet at an ethnic restaurant in the Twin Cities metro area to share a meal from the cuisine of an international culture. As we swap stories, ideas, and encouragements for how we each can live on mission with a cross-cultural mindset, no matter where we may live, we know God will expand our hearts for people made in His image around the world! We will also take time to pray for the nation/region of origin for the restaurant's ownership. Join this group to receive updates for the next scheduled dates and locations of global meals! We will try to meet on different days of the week to accommodate a variety of schedules.
The Good Neighbor program exists to empower the church to walk alongside refugees and immigrants with the love of Christ. Good Neighbors befriend refugees and asylum seekers by providing practical support and life skills to those who have been forced to flee their homelands. Our team will walk alongside a family for one year. Some of our responsibilities will be: * Welcome newly-arriving refugee family through Arrive Ministries’ Reception and Placement program. * Be one of the first faces to greet this family upon their arrival at the airport. * In partnership with the family’s case manager wewill have the opportunity to assist with appointments and help the family learn local systems, all while extending friendship to our newest neighbors. *Come alongside a refugee or immigrant family already living in Minnesota. * Provide support to families seeking asylum.
A spirit-led prayer class. Learn to hear and obey God's voice, experience His presence, intercede for what is on His heart, decree His work, and yield to the Holy Spirit as we partner with Him in prayer. Intercessory Prayer will happen on campus (14898 Energy Way, Apple Valley) at 630pm in the Family Auditorium. Childcare is not provided
This group is for those who wish to bless others by making a meal. When a family is facing a challenging situation (whether a new baby, health diagnosis, emergency, etc.) and could use some support, my desire is to help provide some meals. When a need arises, I will create a meal train schedule & send it out to all members. You do not need to participate for every need - you can choose what works for you! My goal is to grow the group to easily provide for any need without relying too heavily on any member. This is not a typical small group & will not be meeting together.
Monday at 6:30 PM
This group is for men pursuing God and asking Him to equip them with all they need to walk with Him in true freedom, purity, and discipleship. We recommend that you also sign up for a men's Promise Principal group (these groups are centered around discussing a Bible reading plan together) in addition to this group. Currently every Monday we are holding purity introduction studies for new men to the purity ministry (men can drop in at any time to gain perspective of what the purity ministry is and to connect with a leader to begin discipleship now.) Then as men are committed and ready, they will then move through two distinct phases: Purity (9 weeks), and Discipleship (9 Weeks). A higher level of focus and commitment will be required, but the spiritual and relational rewards of fully engaging in this journey together will be worth it!
Thursday at 10:00 AM
This group is for expecting moms or moms of littles (ages newborn to 5 years old) seeking community with other moms in a similar stage of life. We will meet twice a month to enjoy each others community, coffee, and studying Gods Word together! Kids are welcome to tag along!

Prayer is powerful, indispensable, irreplaceable, and makes all things possible! We have been praying nightly online for almost 3 years. Join us whenever you can as we pray for God's Kingdom to come and His will to be done. We are battling in prayer for darkness to be driven back, for America to be saved, for the Churches to be revived, and for the world to be won for our Lord Jesus Christ ! Personal prayer requests will be honored at the end of the meeting. Nightly Monday-Friday 7PM, Saturday & Sunday 6PM. Zoom Room # is 2262218119. "Now unto Him,... who is able to carry out His purpose and do super abundantly, far over and above all that we ask or think, and infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams- To Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen! (Ephesians 3:20-21)
Friday at 6:30 PM
This group will meet monthly to pray for the nations and our church missionaries. We will gather the second Friday of each month in our home for prayer and worship. Additionally, once a month, we will explore cultural opportunities in the Twin Cities.
Thursday at 6:30 AM
We are a group of women dedicated to pray - specifically for unreached people around the world, for the missionaries who have gone to reach them, and for the future 500. We will meet at the Panera in Apple Valley.
Thursday at 5:00 PM
This group is intended to bring together pregnant women, moms of newborns, and their babies. These stages of life can be amazing, but they also can rock your world. Based on that, we want to bring together people who are going through these experiences at roughly the same time. This is a BRING YOUR BABY group, but for other children it depends on if they can be gentle with babies. Protecting babies from too rough of play is an absolute priority. When: LAST Thursday of every month, 5:00-6:30OM, starting 08/25/2022 Where: 15653 Eddy Creek Way, Apple Valley MN 55124 Long term this group will hopefully turn into a baby play group! As stated, older children can come, although it's highly important that the babies aren't over exposed to germs or rough play. No childcare is provided, so it's on the individual to know if an older child can handle the environment. Also we do have a dog in our home, caution for allergy sufferers...
Tuesday at 8:00 PM
This group follows the Promise Principle format (details here: http://leaders.rivervalley.org/promise) The Promise Principle is a powerful tool to teach people how to hear the voice of God through reading the Bible. It calls us to a daily God connection in which He speaks clearly through His Word and promises transformation, power, and direction in our everyday lives, (Romans 12:2, 2 Peter 1:3-4). Anyone engaged in The Promise Principle experience what we call the “new accountability”. The old style of accountability focuses on sin management, while this new accountability propels people forward, igniting a passion to seek, hear, and obey the voice of God. This is where freedom in Christ becomes evident in our lives. God can then truly use us to inspire those around us to follow Him.
Saturday at 8:00 AM
Using the Promise Principles as our guide, we will explore an discuss a chapter each week from the Bible. This is a continuation of a group that started in the Fall of 2015. Allowing the Holy Spirit to speak to us as we collectively read through one chapter of Scripture, searching for Promises, Truths, and Commands from God. Meetings will take place at Jerry's Food Loft on Saturday mornings starting at 8:00am Contact Todd Hyland with any questions. 651-398-8152
Tuesday at 6:00 AM
We are meeting at Jerry's Foods, Hargis Dr. Woodbury in the upper seating area. You are welcome here! This is a "join at anytime" men's group. If you are looking for a deeper connection with God, this group is for you. God desires that we overcome being ruled by our thoughts and feelings, which are highly influenced by our circumstances — family, work, health, or temptation. 2 Peter 1:3–4 tells us that we can actually do this! It comes from learning to respond to God's promises in His Word and through prayer. This is the purpose of The Promise Principle Men's Small Groups. Whether you’re still exploring faith in Christ, or you have been a Christian for many years, you’ll experience what we believe Jesus meant when He called His disciples to change the world by discovering and responding to His promises, truths, and commands. Click here to read more about The Promise Principle and see our weekly reading plan: http://leaders.rivervalley.org/promise
