Wednesday at 6:30 PM
Ladies, let's get together at Caribou in Apple Valley at 6:30pm on Wednesdays. I’m reading a book on How to be a disciple & I’d love to share the experience with you as we discuss the book “Growing Up” by Robby Gallaty.
The Good Neighbor program exists to empower the church to walk alongside refugees and immigrants with the love of Christ. Good Neighbors befriend refugees and asylum seekers by providing practical support and life skills to those who have been forced to flee their homelands. Our team will walk alongside a family for one year. Some of our responsibilities will be: * Welcome newly-arriving refugee family through Arrive Ministries’ Reception and Placement program. * Be one of the first faces to greet this family upon their arrival at the airport. * In partnership with the family’s case manager wewill have the opportunity to assist with appointments and help the family learn local systems, all while extending friendship to our newest neighbors. *Come alongside a refugee or immigrant family already living in Minnesota. * Provide support to families seeking asylum.
A spirit-led prayer class. Learn to hear and obey God's voice, experience His presence, intercede for what is on His heart, decree His work, and yield to the Holy Spirit as we partner with Him in prayer. Intercessory Prayer will happen on campus (14898 Energy Way, Apple Valley) at 630pm in the Family Auditorium. Childcare is not provided
This group is for those who wish to bless others by making a meal. When a family is facing a challenging situation (whether a new baby, health diagnosis, emergency, etc.) and could use some support, my desire is to help provide some meals. When a need arises, I will create a meal train schedule & send it out to all members. You do not need to participate for every need - you can choose what works for you! My goal is to grow the group to easily provide for any need without relying too heavily on any member. This is not a typical small group & will not be meeting together.
Thursday at 10:00 AM
This group is for expecting moms or moms of littles (ages newborn to 5 years old) seeking community with other moms in a similar stage of life. We will meet twice a month to enjoy each others community, coffee, and studying Gods Word together! Kids are welcome to tag along!
Thursday at 6:30 AM
We are a group of women dedicated to pray - specifically for unreached people around the world, for the missionaries who have gone to reach them, and for the future 500. We will meet at the Panera in Apple Valley.
Thursday at 5:00 PM
This group is intended to bring together pregnant women, moms of newborns, and their babies. These stages of life can be amazing, but they also can rock your world. Based on that, we want to bring together people who are going through these experiences at roughly the same time. This is a BRING YOUR BABY group, but for other children it depends on if they can be gentle with babies. Protecting babies from too rough of play is an absolute priority. When: LAST Thursday of every month, 5:00-6:30OM, starting 08/25/2022 Where: 15653 Eddy Creek Way, Apple Valley MN 55124 Long term this group will hopefully turn into a baby play group! As stated, older children can come, although it's highly important that the babies aren't over exposed to germs or rough play. No childcare is provided, so it's on the individual to know if an older child can handle the environment. Also we do have a dog in our home, caution for allergy sufferers...
Saturday at 6:00 PM
This group was initiated and will be lead by my 5 year old son (Misha). He shared with me a message he heard from Jesus and wanted to obey Jesus' command. "Mommy, Jesus says we need to pick up trash and save the animals. We need to tell people to do this." He has been very persistent for months that he needed to do what Jesus told him. When he learned that our church has groups, he asked to lead one to pick up trash. We have adopted Apple Ponds Park in Apple Valley and will be maintaining the park once a month. This may include picking up trash, planting flowers, and/or pulling weeds from a planter or around a sign. Misha encourages other kids to join him and to play with him after clean up. Volunteers of all ages are welcomed. We will meet once per month. The time of day may fluctuate depending on season.
Serving opportunities will be shared with this group and participants can participate as it works with their schedule and/or interest. No set meeting times or commitments. Emails will be sent out as opportunities become available. Let's radically serve and love our community so that more people will come to know Jesus.
As a member of this group, you will be part of The Best Christmas Ever, a Christian nonprofit organization that helps families who experience hardships due to no fault of their own. https://www.bcemovement.org/ Do you want to make a HUGE impact on your community? God has given us each many gifts and strengths that we can use to make the world such a beautiful place. We can come together and create such an impactful group of giving and generosity! I, personally, see what heaven and God has given to me and I want nothing more than to give it all back to Him. I would love to create a group of individuals within River Valley Church that all have hearts to give back to those who are in need of SO much hope. Join me and let's make a difference!

Peter and Jude were writing to people who were under pressure. The early church had fallen under the influence of false teachers, who led immoral lives and taught lies about God. Peter and Jude wrote to help the believers stand firm. In our own day we have witnessed believers who have stumbled and fallen into serious sin. All of us are under pressure. So how can we stay on track? Join us for this six week study of 2 Peter and Jude to learn how to better stand firm in your faith. We will meet for six Fridays: 6/9, 6/16, 7/14, 7/21, 8/4 and 8/11.
Wednesday at 7:00 PM
You are welcome here! This is a "join at anytime" women's group. If you are looking for a deeper connection with God, this group is for you. God desires that we overcome being ruled by our thoughts and feelings, which are highly influenced by our circumstances — family, work, health, or temptation. 2 Peter 1:3–4 tells us that we can actually do this! It comes from learning to respond to God's promises in His Word and through prayer. This is the purpose of The Promise Principle lifegroups. Whether you’re still exploring faith in Christ, or you have been a Christian for many years, you’ll experience what we believe Jesus meant when He called His disciples to change the world by discovering and responding to His promises, truths, and commands. Text the word "promise" to 94000 or use the link below to read more about The Promise Principle and see our weekly reading plan (this link will bring you to the men's Promise Principle site - even though this is a women's group we will follow the men's Promise Principle reading plan): http://leaders.rivervalley.org/promise
