Empower | Apple Valley Fall 2023

There is nothing more exciting than living a Spirit-filled, empowered life! This eight-week Bible study will instruct, encourage and inspire you to walk in all that Jesus has made available to you through the infilling of the Holy Spirit and the gifts that He imparts. These gifts are vital and need to be used in order to be effective witnesses for Him. In this study you will learn about the unseen world, which is called the Spirit realm. Even though we don't see it with our physical eyes, we interact with it on a daily basis. You will also learn in detail about each of the nine gifts of the Spirit how they are used throughout the Old and New Testament by ordinary people. Finally, you will have the opportunity to deepen your relationship with the Lord through the lessons on prayer and intercession. Empower will meet every Monday beginning September 25th through November 20th, 6:30 to 8:00. We will be meeting in the Lounge. Please note*** It is strongly recommended that you attend the Alpha and Freedom courses before attending Empower.

FAITHRXD (Faith, Fitness, Fun)

We meet twice a month where we do an hour workout for our bodies then an approx. 10 min devotional time, followed by 15-30 min of small group discussion. TIME: Saturday's from 11AM - 12:30PM ADDRESS: CrossFit 5885 6950 146th Street West #106 Apple Valley MN 55124 WHAT TO BRING: Bring water and a friend :) Dress for gym (also outdoor components to some workouts depending on weather) Currently we meet every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month at 11am-1230ish at Crossfit 5885 in Apple Valley. No Membership required for this event, it is free to attend. Come sweat and connect! All levels of faith and fitness welcome. All workouts can be modified to meet you where you are at. Each message and discussion is independent, so come and connect! We gather at CrossFit 5885 where our coach will warm us up, jump into a workout and we wrap with a short message from God and discussion. About once a month, we will meet at an ethnic restaurant in the Twin Cities metro area to share a meal from the cuisine of an international culture. As we swap stories, ideas, and encouragements for how we each can live on mission with a cross-cultural mindset, no matter where we may live, we know God will expand our hearts for people made in His image around the world! We will also take time to pray for the nation/region of origin for the restaurant's ownership. Join this group to receive updates for the next scheduled dates and locations of global meals! Welcome Home is your first step at River Valley Church. You were created for a purpose and we want to help you discover that purpose! You will build community, understand how God made you and dive deeper in your walk with Jesus. We can’t wait to meet you! We will meet on Sundays at 9:00-10:00AM for 4 weeks at the Apple Valley Campus on August 6, 13, 20 & 27th. Once Welcome Home is complete, we encourage you to find another small group where you can continue growing in your faith as you build friendships. You are free to check children into the Children's ministry area for ages 6 weeks through 5th grade after 8:45AM.
