First Saturday Serve
On the first Saturday of each month, teams meet at various locations to share God's love in practical ways by caring for the felt needs within our community.
Serving opportunities will be shared with this group and participants can participate as it works with their schedule and/or interest. No set meeting times or commitments. Emails will be sent out as opportunities become available. Let's radically serve and love our community so that more people will come to know Jesus.
Friday at 6:00 PM
We partner with ICCM Life Center for a promising evening of God ordained encounters! Teams hit the streets of Minneapolis to love our neighbors, build relationships while connecting with others from your campus that are serving in this capacity. You can serve as often as it works for your schedule. Starting at 6pm we meet at the Life Center for prayer and worship (preparing food is also an option). At 7pm we then load up the Life Center buses and drive to various parts of the city, focusing on encampments, bus stops, high traffic areas and shelters. Throughout the night we will have countless opportunities to pray with, love on, and provide essentials to individuals and families while spreading the JOY OF THE LORD. :) We gather back at the Life Center around 9pm to share our experience, testimonies and encouragement. It’s always powerful to see how the Holy Spirit moves both inside us and through the individuals we meet. Hope to see you there!! This will be a place for Men of crosstown to be connected to events happening specifically for men, whether it is a serving opportunity, sports activities, or simply a chance to get together as men and sharpen each other. The Idea is that we can grow our ministry here at crosstown by being better connected as a whole. If you have an event you would like to add to the calendar, please share and let's fill up our calendar.

Join us for our Winter/Spring semester as we study Hebrews: A Faith That Endures. Hebrews 12:2-3 ...fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer [author] and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

In Acts 1:1-8, Jesus tells us that we will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on us to be His witnesses throughout the world. Some of that power is manifest in the Armor of God (Ephesians 6). We are given armor for a reason, and it is not to look shiny on us--it is because there are flaming arrows from the enemy coming at us! We are told to "resist the devil, and he will flee from [us]." (James 4:7). What does it look like to resist the devil? How do we do that? This group will focus on spiritual warfare: why it exists, how we are to go about, and understanding the victory Jesus gives us in Himself. We will look at how to practically walk in greater freedom and victory over the enemy that we may be closer to Jesus and more effectively used by Him.
We will embark on a journey throught the book of Colossians.
Malachi is the last book of the Old Testament - but not of the Hebrew Bible. Let's take a walk through the book and hear what the prophet had to say to a people who had returned to exile and weren't experiencing what they had expected and blamed Yahweh. This will be a verse by verse study with teaching and plenty of time for discussion and Q&A.
Tuesday at 7:00 PM
This 8-week group will be on Tuesday nights from 7-8:30 PM and meet in our home beginning Tuesday, February 20th and finishing Tuesday, April 9th. We will be using the book "The Healing Names of Jesus: Find Freedom from Depression and Anxiety" By Jenita Pace. This book explores 31 names of God to help deepen your understanding of who He is, find meaning in your pain, and renew your strength. To get the most out of this group, the expectation is that you will complete the assigned reading, associated scripture, and journaling. We will discuss and pray in a group setting each week. You will need to purchase the book before our first meeting. ISBN:1424562767 Available in many places including Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Christian Book, Target, and Walmart.

The Promise Principle is a powerful tool to teach men how to hear the voice of God through reading the Bible. It calls men to a daily God connection in which He speaks clearly through His Word and promises transformation, power, and direction in our everyday lives, (Romans 12:2, 2 Peter 1:3-4). Each week we will meet on Wednesday mornings at 7:00 AM, at Hope Breakfast Bar in West End. We will read through and discuss the Bible chapter for that week together from a reading plan developed by the national Promise Principle team.

You are welcome here! This is a "join at anytime" men's group. If you are looking for a deeper connection with God, this group is for you. God desires that we overcome being ruled not by our thoughts and feelings, which are highly influenced by our circumstances — family, work, health, or temptation. 2 Peter 1:3–4 tells us that we can actually do this! It comes from learning to respond to God's promises in His Word and through prayer. This is the purpose of The Promise Principle Men's Small Groups. Whether you’re still exploring faith in Christ, or you have been a Christian for many years, you’ll experience what we believe Jesus meant when He called His disciples to change the world by discovering and responding to His promises, truths, and commands.
